Compare dimensional-weight rules.
See the same shipment under common carrier and freight divisors. Public carrier rules are source-linked and dated; your contract or service can still differ.

Find the cartons creating the most dimensional-weight cost.
ShipMeasure ranks each SKU by DIM-weight overhead and shows the theoretical carton height at which a 5,000 divisor would no longer exceed scale weight.
| SKU | DIM overhead / piece | Shipment overhead | Target height* | Volume reduction | Potential saving |
|---|
Build a practical single-SKU pallet plan.
Choose a SKU and pallet. ShipMeasure tests all orthogonal carton orientations, applies height and gross-weight limits, and draws the best layer pattern.
Compare volume and payload utilisation together.
A container can be limited by weight before it is full by volume. ShipMeasure shows both constraints and, for a selected single SKU, an orthogonal carton-fit estimate.

Use your own rates to compare freight options.
No scraped freight rates. Enter the numbers from your forwarder and ShipMeasure calculates W/M, current estimated costs and an approximate break-even point.

Allocate one freight bill across the products inside it.
Choose the allocation logic that matches your costing policy. This is useful when a single freight invoice covers products with very different weights, volumes and values.

Shipment planning questions
Does ShipMeasure quote freight rates?
No. The site deliberately uses the rates you enter. This avoids pretending that a generic internet price is a bookable quotation and keeps your commercial data in your browser.
What does W/M mean for LCL?
Weight/measurement charging commonly uses the greater of shipment cubic metres or metric tonnes as revenue tonnes, subject to the forwarder's minimums and local charging rules. Confirm the basis on your quote.
Are carrier dimensional-weight results exact?
No. ShipMeasure uses published public calculation rules as planning profiles. Carrier services, rounding, size limits, minimum charges and negotiated contracts can change the rated result.
Where are saved shipments stored?
Saved shipments and the current draft are stored in local browser storage on this device. ShipMeasure v2 does not require an account or upload shipment data to a database.
